Lisa grew up in Kelowna B.C. After high school she worked at a local metal fabrication shop for four years. She gained a great deal of skill and knowledge from that experience but wanted more. So she signed up to Okanagan College and took her welding tickets. Then in 2002 she took instruction from Master Blacksmith, Joe Delisimunivic in Vernon. Lisa immediately loved the creative options that blacksmithing provided!
At the age of 24 she opened MetalicArt for business and has been busy hammering custom projects ever since!
When Lisa and her husband started a family, they started dreaming of a smaller town. They decided to move to the Kootenays with their two young boys in 2015. They live on a rural acreage in the beautiful Pass Creek Valley, in-between Nelson and Castlegar.
Lisa is available for commissions so please click on the Contact Page to let her know what you have in mind.
