Handcrafted Metal Art Created in the Kootenays
Lisa is a skilled blacksmith and metal artist who has created custom handcrafted metal art since 2003. Originally from the Okanagan, she studied Welding at Okanagan University in Kelowna, British Columbia. There, she built a strong foundation in welding, metal fabrication, and craftsmanship that continues to influence her work today.
After completing her studies, Lisa apprenticed with Master Blacksmith Joe Delisimunovic in Vernon, British Columbia. During this experience, she discovered her passion for blacksmithing and quickly developed an appreciation for the creativity and artistry the trade offered. In addition, she expanded her skills while training under Blacksmithing Instructor Kevin Kratz at KSA in Nelson.
Because of her passion for metal art and traditional craftsmanship, Lisa launched MetalicArt in 2003. Since then, she has designed and handcrafted countless custom metal projects for clients looking for original artwork with character, authenticity, and lasting beauty.

Inspired by Life in the Kootenays
In 2015, Lisa and her family relocated to the Kootenays to enjoy a quieter rural lifestyle. Together with their two young boys, they settled on a beautiful acreage between Nelson and Castlegar in British Columbia.
Today, Lisa creates custom metal artwork from her rural workshop surrounded by mountains, forests, and wildlife. As a result, the natural beauty of the Kootenays often inspires her artistic designs and creative process.
