Lisa is originally from the Okanagan, she studied Welding at Okanagan University in Kelowna B.C. She then apprenticed with Master Blacksmith Joe Delisimunovic in Vernon and instantly loved the creativity that blacksmithing provided. Later she also took instruction from Blacksmithing Instructor Kevin Kratz at KSA in Nelson.
Lisa opened MetalicArt for business in 2003 and has been busy hammering custom projects ever since!
In 2015 Lisa and her family decided to relocate to a smaller town, they moved to the Kootenays with their two young boys. They now live on a rural acreage, in-between Nelson and Castlegar.
