Lisa is originally from the Okanagan and studied Welding at Okanagan University in Kelowna, B.C. She later apprenticed with Master Blacksmith Joe Delisimunovic in Vernon, where she immediately fell in love with the creativity that blacksmithing offered. She also continued to develop her skills under Blacksmithing Instructor Kevin Kratz at KSA in Nelson.
Lisa launched MetalicArt in 2003 and has been busy hammering out custom metal projects ever since.
In 2015, Lisa and her family chose to settle in a smaller community, relocating to the Kootenays with their two young boys. They now live on a rural acreage between Nelson and Castlegar.
